Using a Browser
Browser Customization and Settings
There are settings that you should know about that affect the operation of your browser, as well as some customization that you might enjoy.
IMPORTANT SETTINGS
To access the Options Window, click Tools>Options.

We've already seen the use of the Home Page option.
I personally have Firefox set as my default browser. This means that if a link is clicked anywhere, like in an e-mail, it will open in Firefox, not IE.
You can customize the use of tabs in the Tabs option.
There are a few settings in the Download window that I recommend:
I have checked the option for Save All Files to this Folder: and I have the Desktop selected. This way, if I download something, it goes to my Desktop automatically, so I don't lose it. When I'm done with that file, I move it or delete it. Gotta keep the desktop clean...
I have also checked the option for Close Download Manager... This will close the download status window when downloads are complete.
I also have checked the option for Automatic checking for Updates under the Advanced>Update tab.
EXTENSIONS AND THEMES
There are many ways that the interface of Firefox can be customized. This is through the use of Extensions and Themes.
NOTE: Because these items are developed at a different pace from the browser itself, the version of the extension or theme that is available may or may not be compatible with the version of the browser you are running
EXTENSIONS are add-ons developed by ordinary people who wanted additional functionality with their browser. They can be found at Mozilla.org. There are many extensions available, and their use just depends on what your needs are. One extension that I use is Morning Coffee.
- Morning Coffee lets you preset tabs for the sites you visit often, and calls up all those pages with the push of one button.

After Morning Coffee is installed, you will see the coffee cup icon shown here. You can then configure Morning Coffee with the addresses of the sites you visit often. After it is set up, you click the icon, and all your sites will open in tabs. You can then read each page without having to click seperate links every time.

THEMES just make your browser look different. If you're observant, you may have noticed that some of my screenshots may appear different from others. That's because I've used a theme in Firefox. Firefox themes are available at Mozilla.org
